Matt Moore biography
Matthew Moore Erickson (born August 9, 1984 in Van Nuys, California) is an American football quarterback of the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League. He was originally signed by the Dallas Cowboys as a free agent undrafted in 2007. He played college football at Oregon State.
After playing youth football for six years with Youth Soccer Palmdale (California), William S. Moore attended Hart High School in Newhall, California.
As a junior, Moore's letter in football while playing as a safety all-CIF first gained recognition with 80 interceptions and 10 of the season.
Moore letters again during his last year playing as a starter Hart High School. Moore led his team to a 13-0 record, culminating in a 42-13 victory over Valencia in the game-CIF Southern Section title in Division III. In the championship game of the division section, Moore completed 14 of 18 passes for 277 yards and four touchdowns and rushed 15 times for 95 yards and a touchdown. During the year, he completed 234 of 353 (66.3%) passes for 3.334 yards and touchdowns and rushed for 33 yards and 415 points in seven. Moore was named the CIF-SS Division III offensive player of the year. He was named first team All-State team and the first All-CIF SS. He was selected to play in the 2002 North-South Shrine All-Star Game.
